Job description

We are looking for a highly qualified Technical Director with solid experience in structural design and multidisciplinary team management. The ideal candidate has an excellent technical background, leadership skills, strategic vision, and a strong focus on quality and innovation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Technical coordination of complex structural projects (civil buildings, infrastructures, special works)

  • Supervision and validation of structural calculation activities (steel, reinforced concrete, wood, composite structures, bridges, infrastructures, etc.)

  • Management and organization of the technical team: task verification and mentoring

  • Continuous development and improvement of the firm’s/ company’s technical and management procedures

  • Direct collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure compliance with project timelines, costs, and quality

  • Technical interface with clients, authorities, and other project stakeholders

Job requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering – structural specialization (or equivalent)

  • At least 25-30 years of experience in structural design, including at least 3 years in technical coordination roles

  • Deep familiarity with building systems, traditional and innovative construction techniques, and construction site phases

  • Excellent knowledge of FEM software (e.g., SAP2000, Midas, RFEM, Straus7, or similar)

  • In-depth knowledge of national and international technical standards (NTC, Eurocodes, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities, plan work, and meet deadlines

  • Experience in collaborating and communicating with multidisciplinary figures (architects, plant engineers, contractors, clients, etc.)

  • Leadership attitude: ability to motivate the team, foster professional growth of collaborators, and manage complex situations with balance and vision

  • Experience in technical coordination of design teams, with the ability to assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure technical quality of deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of major BIM environments (Revit, Tekla, etc.)

  • Experience in international contexts or projects abroad

  • Project management skills (e.g., PMP certifications, PM experience)

  • Site experience as Structural Director of Works
