Job description

The Procurement Manager in the design sector coordinates the procurement of services and technical consulting, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with project requirements. They collaborate with project managers, technicians, and suppliers to ensure the proper execution of orders, respecting deadlines, costs, and company standards. They also focus on legal aspects, coordinating closely with OW’s legal advisors to define contract frameworks for consultants and suppliers and manage special situations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement procurement strategies consistent with project needs and company objectives;

  • Manage the procurement office and oversee procurement processes for specialized consulting, subcontracting, and external services;

  • Work closely with project managers to plan procurements according to project timelines;

  • Evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers and consultants, ensuring compliance with technical, economic, and contractual criteria;

  • Monitor budget adherence and procurement process efficiency;

  • Create and maintain an updated supplier register and manage relationships with strategic partners;

  • Coordinate with the administration for contract, accounting, and documentation management;

  • Coordinate and lead meetings for technical clarification requests;

  • Focus on legal aspects and coordinate with OW’s legal advisors for defining contractual frameworks and managing special cases.

Job requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Economics, or related fields;

  • Solid experience (5+ years) in procurement, preferably in the design, construction, or plant engineering sectors;

  • Knowledge of bidding processes, technical procurement, contract management, and legal coordination;

  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills;

  • Familiarity with main IT tools and management software (ERP, Excel, etc.);

  • Precision, operational autonomy, organizational skills, and result orientation;

  • Excellent command of the English language.
